Basic MSPO Social Impact Assessment (SIA) Training – January 12-14, 2026

Published: Sunday, 18 January 2026
MOMG, in collaboration with the Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil (MSPO), successfully conducted a 3‑day competency training designed to qualify members as internal assessors. The initiative also equips members with the option to independently conduct Social Impact Assessment (SIA) on their existing palm oil processing facilities, in line with the latest requirements under the MSPO standards (MS 2530:2022). Over the course of the training, participants were guided through:

  • Introduction, purpose and scope of SIA
  • Principles and concepts underpinning SIA
  • Steps in undertaking and implementing the assessment
  • Monitoring, reviewing and reporting processes

The programme combined theory with practice, featuring case study discussions, group presentations, interactive quizzes, and a final examination to ensure participants gained both knowledge and applied competency. The training was conducted by OSH ISIS and held at The Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur.
